Massage Therapy Continuing Education Requirements Nj
A licensee who completes more than the minimum continuing education credit hours in any biennial registration period may carry no more than 18 of the additional credit hours into a succeeding biennial period. A licensee who carries over credits into a biennial period shall complete, during that biennial period, at least two hours of ethics.

New Jersey Massage Board Requirements
According to the board, New Jersey massage therapists are required to complete 20 Massage Therapy continuing education hours every 2 years for license renewal. Of the 20 CE hours, 2 must be in ethics. You may only take up to 6 CE hours as online or home study format. The renewal period begins on the date the initial license is granted and ends two years later on the day before the anniversary date of that initial license. All licenses expire every two years on November 30th of any even-numbered year, regardless of the date of licensure.
Renewal Process
Along with your Massage Therapy renewal application, the board requires a renewal fee of $120. Licensees are not required to provide proof of their Massage Therapy Continuing Education completion unless specifically directed to do so by the board.
